Is there any possiblity that satellite radio will be usurped by the web and mobile phones?
Is it not possible to get streaming radio over some phones, like the iphone and other high end phones like blackberrys? Why would you need satellite radio, which is only good in the western hemisphere? I get Howard Stern right now over the internet can you not get the same thing over a phone?
The quality of streaming radio does not come close to that of satellite radio. You will never see phones over take radio for this reason alone, but also, battery life is the other big concern. If you have a constant stream on, you will be lucky to get 2-3 hours of play on a cell phone.
