What are some good techno/dance songs for someone new to the genre?

I’ve never really listened to techno/dance songs that much, but after listening to a few at a party recently, I’ve found i really like them. Any suggestions on some good ones? Thanks.

First of all… I have to say:
If you want pre-made dance mixes, get on itunes, and download the Radio 538 Podcasts. THESE MIXES ARE FREE!!! There are three mixes on the Radio 538 Podcast, and you can download a new one from any of these hour-long mixes every week: Tiesto’s Clublife, Powermix, and Dance Department.

Okay, so let’s get started… You’re new to the genera, so I’m gonna try to have a diverse playlist with songs that are pop, house, dance/disco, trance, and a mixture of several of those genera’s. A lot of these songs are base heavy. Get some good speakers that can support that at a high volume for a long period of time without distorting… and one with a good sound spectrum. So far this year(2009), there are too many great tracks to list, but, of those that I can remember, these are ones I like (plus some 2008 songs, I didn’t know that you’re not allowed to post up more then 10 links at a time…)

    Check out an awesome techno band called RapidFflow on iTunes. They are really good and I suggest getting their self titled album. Here are some links to some of their songs. Hope this helps.

    Well there’s a million to listen to…but I must say for a newcomer to the genre, check out Paul Oakenfold. At least until you find which style fits you best….Paul Oakenfold is a safe staple…
