You can check the websites of specific radio stations (such as the stations in your area). Some of them broadcast online. If you're not looking for a specific radio station, try www.live365.com. It's free, and there are lots of genres & stations. You can also buy the VIP service for a bigger selection of stations. I think the stations on live365 are internet-only, though. Have you tried a search like "radio stations California" (or whatever state you're looking for) for actual stations?
References :
Many radio stations stream their broadcast online. Go to your favorite radio station's website and look to see if they have a "Listen Now" link or something similar. There is also a website that allows you to tune to stations from all over the country, but I can't remember the address.

Edit: www.radiostations.com appears to be what I was looking for. You browse by state / city / zip code and they show you a list of radio stations, links to their websites, and links to listen to streaming audio.
References :
If you are referring to listening to radio frequencies then no and it will never be possible. Radio frequencies are analog signals, the internet is digital. The only thing you can do is just listen to streaming internet radio stations which is the same thing as what you want, just not physically the same.
