The newborn should be able to lay down when first born so personally I would buy a cradle top pushchair.

They are safe for newborns but I didn’t feel happy with buying one until I got so fed up with my travel system that allowed my daughter to face me at six months I bought a stroller. If you’re worried he or she won’t be comfortable you can buy cosy-toes’ which are padded inside to give extra comfort and the Maclaren’s fold flat and are generally light weight and fold down to a decent size.

If you can find a pram to face you it’s going to be over £200 and it’s going to be bulky. The only pram I’ve found to fold down to a decent size (and it’s still big) is the icandy apple which is £300-500 depending on whether you buy it new or second hand and is bulky when into a buggy.

this is a great pushchair! they reccomend them to lie flat for new borns an it says from birth. there is also a viewing window in the hood so you can see baby they will be cosy with the footmuff . gud luck

if they are suitable from birth then they are perfectly safe and if thats what you want then thats fine!

if you are going to be using it for traveling, i would definitely make sure that you have a lightweight, easily portable one! i would also make sure it has accessories that you like- cup holders, carrier underneath, etc.

i don’t see anything wrong with strollers for newborns. it is recommended that they be able to fully recline, however.

strollers that fold almost flat would probably be the best for your traveling with this as well they have ones with a "peep hole" so to speek that you can see what he is doing but they dont make them to where the child is facing you as far as i know. and as far as the comfort for him a blanket under him should make it a lot more comfortable for him so he wont feel every little bump. these are a little more pricey but last a lot longer than you "conventional" strollers

It says it is suitable from birth …it has 4 seat positions so you can tip it right back to nearly flat I expect…that’ll be great for your baby!

I put my son in his stroller for the first time yesterday and he preferred it to his car seat which fits into the stroller.. The back reclines and he just got to lay down (buckled in) and get all snugly with his blankies. He is 6 weeks old.

I don't see anything wrong with it, it says suitable from birth in the description and it has a headhugger. It looks fine to me. Like another answer says though, a wrap/sling would also be really handy for travelling and baby would enjoy that!

I would look into the kind that has the carseat/carrier that attaches to the stroller so the baby is facing you until it is big enough for just the stroller without the carrier. That is what we had for my son and it was great. Now that I have 2 I have a double stroller that the back seat folds all the way down so she can lay down if she wants to. She’d rather lay down and stare at the sky or lights. LOL.
