You can search for music in yahoo or google and download it via your web browser but it is easier to download when you have a software (peer-to-peer) installed. E-mule etc….

peer-to peer software is pretty much gone. The new torrent systems work way better. Try bittorrent, aries, azures, etc. there are plenty of torrents to choose from. (yes, it is a small piece of software you download, but it is only used more as a download manager for the torrent file type). There are plenty of sites that you can search for files: isohunt.com, mininova.org, thepiratebay.org, and torrentspy.com are just a few sites that are torrent search engines.
