G is the oldest girl of four children. Her father has a bachelor’s degree and her mother had received an associate arts degree prior to her death at age 68. Her two brothers did not show any evidence of either learning or attentional disorders. Sadly, one of her brothers died in a drowning accident when he was 34 years old. Her younger sister dropped out of high school, attended vocational school, has been diagnosed with AD/HD, and G believes she has symptoms consistent with an obsessive-compulsive disorder. In addition, G also reports that her daughter has problems with math and science.
