What are some good techno/dance songs for someone new to the genre?
I’ve never really listened to techno/dance songs that much, but after listening to a few at a party recently, I’ve found i really like them. Any suggestions on some good ones? Thanks.
First of all… I have to say:
If you want pre-made dance mixes, get on itunes, and download the Radio 538 Podcasts. THESE MIXES ARE FREE!!! There are three mixes on the Radio 538 Podcast, and you can download a new one from any of these hour-long mixes every week: Tiesto’s Clublife, Powermix, and Dance Department.

Okay, so let’s get started… You’re new to the genera, so I’m gonna try to have a diverse playlist with songs that are pop, house, dance/disco, trance, and a mixture of several of those genera’s. A lot of these songs are base heavy. Get some good speakers that can support that at a high volume for a long period of time without distorting… and one with a good sound spectrum. So far this year(2009), there are too many great tracks to list, but, of those that I can remember, these are ones I like (plus some 2008 songs, I didn’t know that you’re not allowed to post up more then 10 links at a time…)

What’s the difference between the techno genres?
I’m new to techno, so can someone fill me in on the differences between the genres.

Look at the right side where it says Related Genres…then right in the middle under Electronic it will list some genres like House, Trance, Drum N Bass, Ambient……just click on each one and read about them.

What should i search to find good techno club music?
Im hosting a dance party and i want to have some crazy techno club music and remixes.

Can you recommend good computer programs to make techno with?
I deeply enjoy beautiful techno and want to try making some of my own. I don’t know where to start and don;t have a large wallet, so I need suggestions!
I’ve torrented and installed Hypersonic 2, but it crashed at startup.
It’s for my laptop which is a HP Pavilion ZV6000 with boosted ram. I was able to run eJay without lag, but it seemed too basic for what I’m looking for..
Which programs would you recommend? Serious answers please!
I just torrent "Techno Music Software" on Pirate Bay and it gave me some suggestions.
