Can you record music from a radio station on the Internet?
I am listening online to a radio station in another country, and I would like to record the music that they play. How do I do this? What equipment and/or programs do I need?
Is this legal? I don’t want to break any laws.
I am technologically challenged, so if you can describe this in as basic a way as possible, I would appreciate it.
Thank you!
For one, no, it’s not illegal, as long as you use a program that is licensed. I use Replay Music. My dad pays for it, so you’d have to check it out, but I believe if it hears any type of sound file, it immediately starts playing. I’m sure there are others besides Replay Music, but I download music with it from Yahoo Music and others.

How do i get my music on the radio?
How do i get my bands music on the radio? We are all good and that would be great publicity.
Find out which radio station has a local bands show and submit your stuff. I work at a radio station and it is hard to get stuff on the radio without having a record contract first. You should try internet radio as well

Where is a good place to eat near radio music city hall?
We already ate at Del Friscos last night, it was really good just a little to nice, we weren’t that comfortable. Any suggestions would be great. thanks
Del Friscos is really good but the smoki section does stink.
Don Pablos isn’t bad.

How long until music radio becomes a thing of the past?
Seriously, the radio just plays the same crappy garbage over and over again. I haven’t turned on the radio in over a year. I just listen to Internet radio. What are your thoughts?
Aeirlys, are aware that this particular news link is dated back from 2002? It’s 5 years old.
Broadcast radio is going to be around for a while. Yes, they’ve been playing the same songs over and over again. When will they get some new oldies?
Satellite radio is a pretty good option but the coverage isn’t good enough. It doesn’t work indoors. It’s too easy to block. And it’s freakin’ expensive.
Internet radio is fine if you have a device that is hooked to the radio.
In the end the need to carry music all over the place is a new invention. We’ve had music for a long time and never needed to have 100 hours at our fingertips. We’re still figuring out what technologies are going to be winners and which are going to be losers.

Why Does Music On the Radio Sound Better Than Music Played on a home CD player?
When I hear music on the radio stations, it sounds rich and has perfect balance between high treble tones and low bass tones, and it just sounds great. But when I play the SAME exact song on a CD at home, the quality sounds lame compared to when I hear the same song on the radio. Why is this? what do they do to the music before they send it out over the radio that makes it sound so much higher quality? I have high quality speakers, and when I play the radio through them they sound Awesome!, But when I play the same song on CD through the same speakers it still sounds like lower quality.
Sounds like you have a CCDP type of a problem. These days this is very common, as most people buy plug-and-play systems. Unfortunately, there is no other solution but to get a HQCDP. Sure it will cost you, but the difference will blow you away.
Happy listening!
PS CCDP- Crap CD Player; HQCDP-High Quality CD Player. Anything bought from a supermarket, hardware store, discount store, etc. is usualy a CCDP.

Do you think some of the music on radio today is having a effect on our kids?
A person used to be able to play country music while around children but don’t you think the music is becoming more and more unappropriate? For example all the songs about sex and now adays it seems alcohol has become a popular subject like Tequila makes her close fall off, and Alcohol, lets get drunk and be somebody, all jacked up. Do you agree with me that they are going to have a negative effect on our kids. Its funny for adults but I don’t think it should be on the radio! I have even heard the pep band at a high school basketball game play the song all jacked up!! Is it any wonder alcohol is becoming a increasing problem with our children today!
The worst for me is this gangsta rap music which sets a really bad example for kids. I understand that my parents also didn’t like the 60’s and 70’s music but compared to what goes now there is no comparison. They are really bad role models for kids with their anti-social antics!
