Download the free audio program called Audacity from:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
It will record whatever is currently playing on your PC.
When finished you can do File | Save as mp3
Make sure you have a little experiment first before you record your online radio session.

Is it possible to listen to actual radio online?
I figured in this day and age it might be possible. Is there a place where you can listen to radio frequencies online? As in actually listen to a radio broadcast via the internet that isn’t internet radio specifically?
Yeh try googling it like say if you wanted ‘Kiss’ you could type into google: kiss listen online.

Does anyone have any ideas for an Online radio station name?
I am launching an online radio station, but the names I have looked at are being used already. I need ideas, the format is talk, as I do not want to pay a PRS licence so I’m not bothering with music. We have people ringing in and a talk format. Any ideas?
I think that if you have the facilities to launch an Internet Radio station, then surely you should be able to conjure up an original name for it. In my experience, talking and phone-in radio stations are not very edifying because the ranters wish to use the airwaves to bully listeners verbally.
As I am a member of P.R.S. for Music and P.P.L., I think that it is pathetic to wish to dodge payment on those grounds. I have had to sacrifice a normal life merely to be a musician and songwriter which does not bring in too much cash. I receive royalties from global radio stations from P.P.L. but I have not caught up with Internet Radio yet.
Certainly you have the option, but a radio station without even a jingle may as well be walkie talkie hobby jobby.

Can you help me with my online radio problems?
Out of the blue my computer stopped letting me listen to online radio stations. When I try listening on the sites the player pops up, and it acts like it is about to start playing, then it says <i>ready</i> but nothing happens. When I try playing it in WMP I get this message: <i>Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the specified protocol is not supported. In the Open URL dialog, try opening the file using a different transport protocol (for example, "http:" or "rtsp:").</i> but nothing I do seems to work. No luck with Real player either. All of the other sound on the computer works fine. Any idea of how I can fix this? I’m no computer expert, so any help is greatly appreciated.
Try reinstalling the media player and all the codecs

How do I start my own online radio station for free?
i would love to start an online radio station but i don’t want to pay and i can’t use uBroadcast because i don’t have a credit card. anyone know any place that makes this possible? and if it isn’t. please don’t call me an idiot for asking.
Your not a idiot! There isn’t a really safe way to broadcast online. Its illegal to broadcast for free, you have to pay royalties and all that jazz.
Live365.com is probably the cheapest place to go. Another way to go is making a playlist at http://www.projectplaylist.com or http://www.myflashfetish.com … its almost as good as your own station!?!?!

How do you record online radio sites? Where can i download free electronic music sets.?
I have two questions any help would be appreciated.
How can i record sets from online radio to my harddrive?
Does anyone know any good free sites to download famous electronic music dj’s sets, so i can put them on my ipod.
pay sites are cool too but they tend to be too expensive.
Im not talking about copyrighted material. Im talking about promotional dj sets that are all over the web for free. I was just asking other peoples opinion. And its not illegal to download, its illegal to share it.

You should try liteRecorder.This records streaming radio or audio from any streaming videos like YouTube. I’ve tried several programs, and I think you should try at least 3-4 and pick the one you like.
