2007 Maclaren Techno XLR? Is there a difference in the 07′, 08′, 09′? I found a cheap 07′ new?
I found a ‘07 new techno xlr, is there that much difference in the 09′ & 07′ I’ve read the only difference is that the 09’s fabric is more plush/more comfortable. Other than that, no difference besides a couple tiny things that doesn’t matter, mainly looks wise.
Do you think I should buy this? It’s at a GREAT price and I have no stroller at the moment for my son! He broke his small one & his bigger Jeep one is just to big to lug around anywhere!! Especially if I want to let him down to walk there is no way I would be able to push this big thing and him walk around..
Thanks! ![]()
I have a Maclaren Triumph, ‘07 model that i bought new off of Ebay for a great price, $75! The only difference between mine and the ‘09 models at the store is the fabirc. I actually like my fabric better (pink and grey!). I say buy it, i LOVE my Maclaren stroller, the Graco Quattro Tour doesn’t even get get used anymore.

is it better to have small or bigger wheels on buggy,on road, and grass walking.kids diffrant ages due?
to childminding,as looking at maclaren triumph twin,or maclaren techno.but need it light to push, and get in shops
Bigger wheels will roll much easier on any surface, but particularly on a soft surface.

which twin buggy the best maclaren techno,or maclaren triumph.dont like other makes iv seen ,got to be light a?
and has to go throught doors at ease.any one had either of these
i childmind so for newborns up to 3 years old, varys who i have
i have a single techno and love it as it has much better recline system but it depends on the age of the children your using it for. i would go for the techno any day, also the wheel size is bigger which you will fine more helpful on bumpy roads and on grass and sand

another baby coming!?
i have 4 years old boy. since he was born, he hates baby stroller. and we never buy any stroller for him because we received 2 strollers and i know its not works so well for him, so we gave it away to friends.
another 2 years old boy arrived and we dont use twins stroller, because our 4 years old boy walks more and quiter than the 2years one, and the 2 years boy loves to seat on the stroller.
when the 2nd one born, we received 1 combi stroller, 1 Quinny zapp+car seat, 1 ordinary bulky stroller. we like the quinny zapp, but one day he fell from it because he was moving so much and the stroller just have 3 wheels, so my husband decided to buy a better one and give away all our stroller.
We have Loola stroller now which is fantastic, but the wheels are already not so stable because of over use (i guess) i walked a lot! and i bought Maclaren Techno XT, and my 2years old son doesnt like it!
We want to have a twin stroller so when my 4 years old sleeping, i dont need to carry the younger one just to let 4years old laying on the stroller, but we thought its too late to buy the twin stroller because soon he will go to school regularly.
now, im pregnant. i wanted to buy a twin stroller. i know what exactly i want, but my consideration is, will this be usefull for the newborn and my 2nd boy? and we still have 4 strollers at home which take so much space at home.
will i find many trouble by having 1 stroller for 2 babies? please share your experience, and your suggestion, shall i buy the twin stroller or face the problem? as i know my 2nd boy will sit on the stroller at least for another 2 years?
If the twin stroller is not bulky, easy to use, convinient to take to a small street, light, and you are kind of busy walker parents, i think twin stroller wouldnt be so bad at the end. For the other pushchair, you can sell them for super cheap, give it to the babies orphanage, or friends, etc.
Having 3rd baby with 2 older toddler is not easy, nor difficult.
Good luck with your all 3!

which stroller you use for older kids?
hi, this is a pretty common question i guess.. i have two boys 1 year and 41/2 years, we travel internationally and with lots of (transiet stay in between where i need a stroller for both the kids, and alos we go on long trips here, so my older one sometimes wantto take a nap on whole day trip…. however i have a stroller that he is too big for now i have 2 choices ,
sit and stand type stroller.. where my elder one cant take a nap.but can sit and is more independent,…and its cheap
maclaren twin techno (already have one)..expensive , but both kids can lie down and take a nap, however it happens occassionally.that the older one wants to nap.
can you tell me if i sell the maclaren , and buy a sit n stand , that i will finally when he is older than 5 yerars )is it a good decision?
( i always feel guilt about buyingsuch expensive stroller and iam afraid to leave it unattended or in palnes so it could be damaged or lost)
my older one is not that much in stroller however every mom knows they want to be baby sometimes ,they do get tired ocassionally, like on vacations , my major concern are the airports with odd timings ……
rania is not my actuall name
I would stick with the Maclaren if you don’t need the double sell it and buy a single Maclaren. The Maclaren is better quality than the sit and stand. The Maclaren accommodates larger children more than any other stroller. It has the highest weight capacity that I have seen and is wider and more durable. The Maclaren is owned by a friend of mine that she bought when her boy was a year old. He is now 6 and a half and 67 pounds and still uses it regularly. (He is Autistic). Also a school for disabilities in my area has the Maclaren stroller lining the hallways of there school right next to all the wheelchairs.

Mommies of little ones: which is best in your experience between these 2 stroller brands?
Based on a previously asked Y!A question, I’m seriously considering a stroller from Maclaren (despite the recent recall) and Peg Perego. There are quite a few similarities between them that I like, but I need to know from your personal experience which you prefer. Maybe that will help me with my decision.
Here are the features I like in stroller, which both brands have most of:
-umbrella fold
-extendable handles
-reversible fabric
-4-5 seat positions
-peakaboo cover
-waterproof hood
-washable fabric
-durability (seems to last through multiple kids)
-car seat compatible
-5 point safety harness
Babies R Us has an attachable cup holder, so I don’t care if these come with one or not. The shopping basket underneath is okay too, and if it’s not roomy enough maybe I’ll use a Mommy Hook. I would like to get a stroller that I can use from birth to about 65lbs so we don’t have to buy another one.
Specifically I’m looking at the Maclaren Techno and the Peg Pergeo Pliko P3 or Switch.
If you had one of these, did you also get one of the recommended compatible car seats, or did you just get the car seat you wanted, whether or not it was compatible with the stroller?
If you have or had one of these, what do you think? I’m a first-time mommy and this is one of the few areas I’m feeling really overwhelmed in. Thanks for your help!!
I don’t think I researched strollers and car seats for infants as much as I probably should have before buying a stroller.
I don’t have either of these; but I will tell you what features I like/wish I had with my 8 month old:
- umbrella fold would definitely be handy…the one we have is small and hardly covers anything.
- treaded rubber tires; we have plastic ones on ours and they don’t work very well on slippery floors (like in malls) or in snow (which is a concern where I live).
- large basket (I have the mommy hook, and I still find there isn’t enough room for everything in our stroller lol.
- full recline position…for baby’s comfort so they can sleep better and longer…mine doesn’t recline all the way.
Other than that anything else would be considered luxury. I do like that my stroller fits well into small places (it is a 3 wheel stroller). And it’s lightweight and easy to fold and put up.
But definitely pick one that is compatable with a car seat you want to use…if you aren’t going to use the infant car seat in the stroller than you may as well just get a convertable car seat that stays in the car.
Good luck picking! Oh the hard decisions of parenthood haha.

What cosy toes should i buy?
My son is 21 months but is very tall so is more like a 2 and a half year old and i want a cosytoes to fit my Maclaren Techno XT buggy that will accomodate his long legs and be waterproof.
Only he just pulls his legs out of blankets and ends up with cold legs and feet when it’s really cold.
What one should i get and where can i get them and roughly how much?
Many thanks
He does walk but sometimes when i’m shopping i don’t need the hassle of it. Also he has a terrible habbit of running off.
I put tights on him but it’s not always enough.
Personally I would say that a 21 month old is way too old for a cosy toes, this is why they don’t really make them. He probably doesn’t mind being cold otherwise he wouldn’t pull them out of the blanket.
If you want him to be warm put tights on under his trousers and put fur lined boots on him. Put waterproof trousers on if it is wet and you are worried.
Try to get him to walk as much as possible rather than being cosseted up in a buggy, this will keep him warm.

are strollers ok for newborns?
I was thinking of getting something like this (see below) for my boy
http://www.mothercare.com/Maclaren-Techno-XLR-Stroller-Coffee/dp/B001V5WW3G/sr=1-4/qid=1243435425/ref=sr_1_4/275-4791040-5513328?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=44346031&mcb=core
We will be doing quite a bit of travelling so its really important that it can fold up flat and easy. But I’m worried it won’t be very comfortable for him.
I’m also not too keen that its forward facing as I’d prefer to be able to see what he’s doing.
So what do people think? Anyone tried one of these with newborns? Apparently they’re suitable but I just don’t feel 100%
Suggestions on an easy fold, lightweight, parent facing pram what is not ridiculously expensive will be greatly appreciated
xxx
Newborns need to be in strollers that fully recline, so if that one does, you should be fine. Otherwise, check out a travel systems.
