I Maintain Complete Control

Would Our Society Be Better Off
Throughout his speech, Mann illustrates his belief that if humanity adopts and immolates the values of Christianity, our societies would be better off individually and collectively, the world would be a safer place. This idea sounds wonderful and in many ways, I agree with Mann, but the challenge comes about when one looks at the other texts. These same “Christian people” slaughtered the Indians and enslaved black Africans. These same people professed to serve the same God Mann spoke of in his speech.
It is clear that many of those who have been guilty of what would best be called crimes against humanity know of Christianity but simply did not practice it in the way Mann spoke or were very selective in the doctrines they acknowledged.

Making Describing and Extending Patterns

Deal With Your Frustrations
I had to teach her how to deal with her frustrations. With prayer and encouragement, she no longer cries or gives up. In the beginning, I required DJ to read to me in the car as we drove to school and home. It was a bumpy and tearful 45-minute ride there and back for both of us. When mentioning kindergarten to her, she informed me that all the children knew how to read and her mother had to teach her (most likely the other students attended pre-kindergarten).The first month was a struggle to build up her confidence and self worth.
