Quality Management System

Clause 5.4 of ISO 9001 defines Quality Management System Planning.
Section 5.4.1 defines the requirement for planning Quality Objectives
including those needed to meet requirements for product. Clause 7.1 further defines the need to plan for product realization.

Clause 5.4.2 specifically defines quality management system planning
requirements. It states that senior management should ensure that
the planning of the quality management system is carried out in order to meet the requirements given in Clause 4.1 Quality Management System general requirements. Senior management are all required to ensure that the integrity of the quality management system is maintained when changes to the quality management system are planned and implemented.
